Kim Alexander is a 2D and stop-motion animator with 11 years of industry experience producing both independent and commercial animations for short films, TV and web broadcast.
Kim has experience both directing and working within a creative team and is currently freelancing based in London.
With a lifelong love of drawing and a background in Fine Art, Kim was originally trained in traditional hand-drawn animation techniques on the PostGrad Diploma in Character Animation at Central St. Martin's (2006-07) and maintains the hand-drawn feel in her digital work. She particularly enjoys animating surreal and quirky characters and storylines, and feels particularly fulfilled when working on projects that have a positive social or educational impact.
Kim also has extensive experience running animation and art workshops with children and adults with a range of needs and abilities both in the UK and Latin America and is committed to inclusion in education.
