Group Art Sessions Online

A fun and creative way for your children to connect online with their friends and family across the country and around the world, using collaborative storytelling in combination with visual arts and crafts.

Structure:

  • Recommended length: 1 hour 30 mins per session (shorter or longer sessions can also be facilitated on request.)

  • Connect from home on a laptop, desktop or iPad through the online conferencing software Zoom. Smartphones are NOT suitable due to screen size.

  • I will facilitate the sessions using visual instructions and reference images shared on screen.

  • Adult supervision is needed for logging into and out of Zoom at the start and end of the session.

  • For health and safety reasons there needs to be an adult at home in the background, but the workshops are designed for children to do all their work independently, so that parents can focus on other tasks.

  • Parents/ guardians will be asked to take photographs of the artwork at the end of the session.  These will be edited into a digital book of the collaborative artworks and emailed back to you.

Basic materials required:

  • A4 paper

  • Pencil, rubber and sharpener

  • Coloured pencils &/or crayons

  • Colourful felt pens.

  • One or two of your child's favourite illustrated storybooks for reference.

Setting up: Detailed instructions will be sent to you prior to each session with notes on how to set up your child’s workstation, login details for Zoom and a list of any additional materials required.

Suitable for all ages, 5+

  • Ideal for groups of children who are friends or cousins.

  • A fantastic way for grandparents to connect to grandchildren.

  • Great for aunties and uncles to connect to nieces and nephews.

  • Groups can accommodate a mix of ages and can be intergenerational.

  • Also fun for groups of adults.

Please do indicate when booking if your child has any additional needs so that the workshop can be tailored to be fully accessible.
