Personalised Kid's Arts and Craft Workshops, in the comfort of your own home.

Including: Workshop Days, Birthday Parties, School Support & Art Tutoring

Personalised arts and crafts workshops tailored to your children's needs and interests.   Perfect for a rainy day in,  children's birthday parties and extra-curriculum support. 

Pricing: variable depending on numbers and materials, starting with a minimum threshold of £150, for a 2-hour group session for a group of 6 children, including materials.   

Session Structure: 

  • Typically 2 hours long, with 15 minutes either side for set-up and pack down.  (Variable on request). 

  • Sessions are facilitated by Kim Alexander.  For larger groups additional Artist Educators would co-facilitate.

  • Session are planned with activities to be inclusive of all levels and abilities.  If you child has additional needs then please do mention them on booking so that the workshop can be tailored to be fully accessible.  

Materials: All of the technical art materials and equipment required for the session will be provided by Kim on the day.  Depending on the type of workshop, your household may be asked to collect some recyclable materials in anticipation,  e.g. cardboard cereal boxes/ toilet rolls/ plastic bottles, glass jam jars.

 

Suitable for ages 5+.  Mixed aged groups can be facilitated. 

Minimum number of participants: 4  Maximum: 20  

Technical art tutoring can be offered in one-to-one sessions, including:

  • Digital 2D animation techniques using Adobe Animate, £35 per hour.

  • Portfolio preparation support for GSCE, A-level, or application to Visual Arts courses at university, £35 per hour

Kim has extensive experience working with children both in schools and community settings and has designed and delivered participatory arts projects to children around the world over a span of 14 years.  Her art workshops are informed by her Fine Art background and specialisation in 2D character animation.

Choose from a range of activities, including:

  • Puppet making

  • Mask making

  • Storyboarding

  • Comic Book Strips

  • Stop-motion animation (maximum group of 6)

  • Wood block printing to make a tote bag

  • Journal making

  • Collage

  • Drawing techniques(options of chalk or oil pastel, charcoal, ink, graphite)

  • Painting (acrylics/ poster paints/ watercolour, maximum group of 8)

  • Observational drawing

  • Picture making with felt and sewing

  • 2D digital animation (one-to-one only, 13+)

  • Glass painting

  • Themed card making (Easter/ Christmas/ Hannukah/ Holi etc.)

  • My Superhero - make a mask, cloak and superhero tool. (4-hour session)

  • Creative up-cycling (turn bottles into planters/ boxes into boats etc) 

  • Clay sculpture

  • Shoe-box gardens
