UCSD: Paloma Young

The second of the spots that I worked on with Nomint last September and October for the University of San Diego in the USA, this one is named after the iconic Olympic volleyball player Paloma Young.

I really enjoyed being brought in at the animatic stage of the process for both of these UCSD spots, and seeing them through to the end of the animation. The big challenge on both films was creating the 3D rotation effect using 2D traditional hand drawn techniques, whilst also including all the texture detail of the designs.

Once again working with a brilliant team of animators: Ana García Sebastiá, Alex Smith, Zoe Matzko and Knife Son Yu. Composited and edited in AE by Tony Comley.
