Body weavings: famous & infamous faces

Weaving as the combining together of many threads. Drawing patterns inspired by South American weavings onto the top of newspapers thinking about the complex interwoven personal history of every human and how a media photo can box someone all too easily into a flat stereotype - "pop star" "good student" "terrorist" (Interesting to note in myself a questioning of "Is it ok to draw over the top of the faces of the terrorist photos?" A taboo somehow, or anxiety about disrespecting their victims, but these men are individuals with families and personal histories, hopes and dreams too.
