Body weavings: self-portrait

Experimenting with painting myself with a pattern that references South American weavings, thinking about personal identity and the weaving together of the different cultures I have passed through, lived in and feel that I owe the development of certain parts of my self to. Themes that I have been returning to cyclically over the years, and exploring even more deeply since returning from Ecuador in July 2015.
